    Default Questions from a Newbie

I am a hobbyist and have been playing around with vinyl for a couple of years now. I have mostly used Oracal 631 for interior wall decor and Oracal 651 for exterior window decals. A friend would like me to create some simple racing stripes in Black Matte to run the length of his car and wanted to know what would be the best vinyl to use to hold up to weather and exposure. Any suggestions?

Also, are there any application suggestions for keeping the stripes straight? I do not have any special application tools other than the application tape I use for interior decor.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Margot

I would use cast material for autos unless the owner just wants to pay for the intermediate vinyl. A wet application is the way to go or buy a cast wrapping film in the solid color you need. they will have a repositionable adhesive. Google will help you find a dealer. Felt squeegees are my choice.
P.S. Good question.....keep active and share.

Thanks! I ordered the 3M Scotchprint Wrap Film 1080 Series Matte Black. Hopefully it will work for him.
